Sprinkler Valve Locating & Wire Tracing in Bloomfield Hills
If a sprinkler valve is buried or a zone has an electrical fault, the goal is to locate the circuit and test it before digging or replacing parts. Bloomfield Hills Irrigation provides residential buried-valve locating and low-voltage irrigation wire tracing in Bloomfield Hills and nearby communities.
What we diagnose
- Buried or missing valve boxes
- Zones that will not turn on
- Broken or open station wires
- Common-wire faults
- Corroded underground splices
- Failed valve solenoids
- Controller station-output problems
How valve locating works
Irrigation valves are normally connected to the controller with low-voltage field wiring. Locating equipment can apply and follow a signal along that circuit to narrow down the wire path and probable valve location. Electrical measurements then help determine whether the fault is in the controller, wiring, splice, solenoid or valve.
Why diagnosis matters
A dead zone does not automatically mean the valve is bad. Replacing a controller will not fix a cut field wire, and replacing a solenoid will not repair a failed splice. Testing the circuit first helps target the repair.
