A common controller-programming mistake is assuming each start time belongs to one zone. On many irrigation controllers, a start time launches the entire program.
Why the system repeats
If Program A has start times at 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., the complete sequence may begin at both times.
Check every active program
Controllers can have Program A, B, C, or additional schedules. An old program may still be active even if you normally use only one.
Also check manual and smart-controller schedules
App-based controllers may have multiple schedules or weather-based adjustments that are not obvious from the wall display.
